Encourage and support a FREE Press in the USA!

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

According to REPORTERS WITHOUT BORDERS  Finland, Iceland and Ireland are countries with the freest press in the world. There are no threats or intimidations to their press coverage and they are not threatened by their government for printing the truth. The worst offenders (at the bottom of the heap) are North Korea, Cuba, Saudi Arabia and China (among others).  Any thinking person can fully understand why these countries are at the bottom. The shame for us is that the African countries of Benin, Namibia, Ghana and Mauritius enjoy more freedom of the press than we do.  As far as the numbers goes, Jamaica is #23, The Czech Republic is #5, Canada is #16… and we are #53. We have fallen from #32. How can that be?  Intimidations and threats can have very adverse financial repercussions when our press depends on revenue for their survival.  For a news media to be called unpatriotic for exposing the truth can be the kiss of financial doom.  The ONLY way for newspapers to survive is to have the support of the readers! Without the truth there are too many hidden secrets that can be detrimental to our very freedom as Americans.  Judges, for example, that rule base on their politics (rather than justice) is a terrible practice that can only be highlighted by  FREE PRESS! Now more than ever, it is extremely important that you support journalist that put their lives on the line for freedom! So far, 97 journalist have been murdered in Iraq.

I SUPPORT THE VOLT: GM’s new electric car.

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

If you drive less than 40 miles back and forth to work each day, you would be driving FUEL-FREE. That’s right, fuel free. The first 40 miles on this car is ran on just electricity which is recharged by simply plugging in your car in your 110 outlet.  For every 100,000 cars that would be a savings of over $3,300,000.00 a year at today’s gasoline prices. How many cars do you have in your city! Yes, it goes 100mph, and yes, it goes from 0 - 60 in about 8 seconds! Yes, it has a range of about 640 miles (with its E85 engine).

Would you have supported slavery? Are you sure?

Friday, March 16th, 2007

Would you have supported slavery. Many people would automatically say NO, they would not have supported slavery, but, are they sure? Slavery is also the product of economics. We buy from overseas because their laws allow for all kinds of atrocities, and we pretend not to know. When given the choice of buying cheap, or not eating, we will always buy cheap; no matter what conditions produced “cheap”.  So, do you now support child slavery and other forms of slavery around the world?

Let your voice be heard - Vote with your dollars.

Monday, March 5th, 2007

Your vote at the ballot box does not always matter.  Unless you support a lobbyist or have inside influence, your views are not important. BUT, when you vote with your dollar bills, AND, you encourage your friends to do the same, then your voice is heard loud and clear. If Justice matters, don’t support companies where injustice rules for the sake of profits. If the environment to you, then don’t support companies who preach that global warming is a myth. Use your dollars to support companies that share your values and sense of ethics.  If  torture and human misery is unacceptable to you, then don’t buy the products made under poor human conditions.
